LESLIE "CLYVE" HAACK - VOCALS & KEYS

Leslie began playing piano when he was in 1st grade, and has been the organist at his church since 1986.

Leslie has performed lead roles in several musicals at the Rochester Civic Theatre: The “Emcee” in Cabaret, “Teen Angel” in Grease, “Leo Bloom” in The Producers, “Billy” in Chicago, “Phil” in White Christmas, "Jitter" in The Musical of Musicals - The Musical, “Sweeney” in Sweeney Todd, “Frank-n-Furter” in The Rocky Horror Show, “Albert” in Bye Bye Birdie, “Father Virgil” in Nuncrackers, “Fred” in Kiss Me, Kate, and one of four leads in All Night Strut.

From 2005-2009, Leslie was a cast member of Forever Christmas, a musical variety show.

In 1995, Leslie wrote and performed some original music for a production in Italy.

From 1990-1995, Leslie played French horn in the Rochester Community College (RCC) band, and was a member of the RCC choir and CC Aires.

From 1991-1995, he was the pianist for the RCC Jazz Band.


CARL STEPHENSON - GUITAR & VOCALS

Carl has been playing lead guitar in bands since 8th grade.

In college, he continued his music studies, graduating with a B.A. in classical guitar performance.

After college, Carl and his wife Roberta formed the band Stryker, and went on to play full-time for sixteen years – playing five or six nights a week in fourteen states. During that time, Stryker opened for some well-known bands: The Guess Who, Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels, Head East, Pinkard & Bowden, and Jonah & The Whales.

Aside from LP & The 45s, Carl is also the guitarist for Incognito.

Carl also teaches about 50 students a week at Schmitt Music in Rochester, Minnesota.


Sara Schliep - Vocals & toys

Sara is the daughter of a music teacher. She got started at an early age, singing to her parents' 45s and taking piano lessons. She is an accomplished piano soloist and accompanist. She played French horn through college, and has been involved in church music for most of her life.

Sara is currently the Director of Contemporary Music at Peace United Church of Christ, where she leads a praise team and plays piano/keyboard. She also plays piano for weddings and other private events, and has performed at many venues in the Rochester area. With LP & the 45s, she has enjoyed extending her musical skills to include background vocals and hand percussion.


Jay Peterson - Drums

Jay began playing drums when he was in 5th grade, and has been playing in working bands since he was nineteen. He has been the drummer of several Rochester based bands: The Chubs, The Guys Downstairs, One, Fandango, Loft, and and tribute acts to Elton John, Heart, and Pink Floyd.

In addition to LP & The 45s, Jay is also the drummer of The Suits.

Jay has also shared the stage with such national acts as Jimmy VanZant, Head East, .38 Special, and Johnny Lang.


Ric Dwyer - Bass

Ric is the founder of LP & The 45s. He has been playing in bands since he was in 9th grade, and playing bass since 1994.
